Reading Blogs Made Easy

9 08 2008

I have a blog, and I am a blog reader.  Many friends have been asking me, where do I find the time to read blogs.  Thought I will share what helped me save time.

I’m able to read blogs quickly cause I’m using Google Reader.  All I need to do is to add all the blogs that I read into Google Reader, and whenever there is any update from any of these blogs, their blog names will be in bold, and for most of the blogs, the content can also be read from the reader, so I don’t even need to go to the blogs.  But some blogs only show partial content, while others only show the heading.  But, at least, it save me the trouble to click each and every of the blogs that I visit frequently, and I get to read my favorite blogs with minimal clicking.

To start, just get an account from Google Reader, and I believe the rest is quite self-explanatory.  If you already have an account with Google, than you can use your existing account name.

I’m not an internet guru, but merely user, so I can only recommend based on what helped me and what I learnt from others.  Actually I read about Google Reader from another blog! Hee hee… And, there should be other similar platforms, which I don’t know :P

Meanwhile, happy blog reading :)

Just curious, I have this bad habit of editing and re-editing my blog after it has been published to correct grammatical errors or what have you… do you get multiple alerts then?

sheza,

you are not alone on editing your post ;) . I even edit my comments :P But multiple alerts? you mean the multiple alerts come via emails? No I don’t get that after I edit my posts.

could it be a setting issue? ie, setting on what kind of emails to receive? I tried to look through the wordpress but don’t seem to find anything relating to you ‘problem’.

or perhaps you wanna send a note to the administrator. they will response, albeit, may be a little slow. (i ever emailed them before cos of some other issues.)

sorry didn’t help much.

cheers
Delci
