I’m not someone with a pair of green hands. My first attempt to keep Gloxinia had a tragic death, and of course, that pot R.I.P.
Went to Hort Park with friends, FA said her Gloxinia is growing very well and it is extremely easy to maintain. Chose the prettiest one and decided to give it another shot.
HURRAY!!!!!! This time at least it bloomed, and is still blooming, albeit a little odd looking with it sticking so high up to catch the sun.
So, what’s the changes made between my 1st and 2nd attempt? My biggest mistake than and now is:-
Light – Gloxinia need light but not direct sun. My first pot was placed very in-door with little light, hence it died shortly. This time, I place it very near to my window, away from direct sun
.
Anyway, for more information on Gloxinia and maintaining it, just google, not difficult to find. If you want a pot for your house, Ikea has quite a lot.
