Don’t want to nag

8 07 2008

Even though I hate to nag, but I think I am becoming a typical nagging mum. By the end of the busy day, I was so tired that I decided not to say much, and just like the kids do whatever they want.

It was 9:30pm, ie, the children’s bedtime, but they were both still reading and playing around.  Told them that I gonna go to their room and whether they would be there or not, I would be out by 9:45pm, with or without cuddling and praying with them.  So I went to their room, off the light, and lay on the bed.  Shortly after, EZ came in too.

When it was time for me to leave their room, again, tired of nagging them to keep quiet and go to sleep (being kids, they both love to make lots of noise), I told them I was too tired to nag at them, they should know what they ought to do.  And off I went, leaving them in the room without saying much.

Well, they fell asleep shortly after.

Hmmm… perhaps I have been nagging too much.  I should be the one to let go and let them be on ‘auto-gear’.

Oh my…. you might find that when you let them on “auto-gear”, the time may drag and drag for bedtime. *sigh*. That’s not so great for us Moms we are at our days’ end and wanting our own time, eh?

Sam, I know what you mean!!! I do know that there will be certain things that they simply can’t be on “auto-gear”. For us, bedtime is still fine. BUT, meal time can last forever! esp for my girl!

No choice, take away the food, lor. But yea, I’ve found bedtime can stretch to 10pm, 11pm, or even midnite if I just leave them be.
