Motorbike license? Maybe not.

5 07 2008

Last night, I was trying to convince E that perhaps I should get a motorbike license, so that next year I can send him to school on a Vespa (in red please :P – see picture below).  Although he was initially hesitant about it, but after some persuasion, finally agreed that I should go get a motorbike license.

Today, my friend shared with me that her friend just met with a motorbike accident.

Again, today, while on the bus on our way home, we saw a motorbike BURNT TO ASHES!!!!  The firefighters were still spraying water on the charcoal black bike!

I looked at E and told him “Erm, I think God is giving us a very clear message.  Let’s scrap the motorbike idea.”

So, goodbye Vespa:

Hi,

I have a class 3 licencse and just my humble opinion, it is better to learn to drive a car, and then maybe”encourage” your hubby to get you a really second hd, old small car, or a new, really small cheap car. There are many gd and skillful drivers around but there are also many drivers who are virtually zipping around and can’t stand “normal safe drivers (eg:my husband). So I realise there are many impatient drivers around who do not tolerate safe drivers, . hence making it really dangerous to srive around in Singapore….so… needless to say. I’m also praying v hard that my husband will allow me to have a car too….

hi Kin,

Thanks for your thoughts.

With the petrol price that will only be heading North , I doubt we will be getting a car cos dh doesn’t drive and he is usually out of town. The MRT line near my home will also be up soon.

Only thing is, I really wish that I don’t have to rely on school bus to ferry my children to school. Quite ’scary’ right?!

cheers,
ezmum
